"ART CONNECTS US"

California Art Education Association (CAEA) and California State University, Fresno (Fresno State) are pleased to present 2021 Central Youth Art Month. Started in 1961, Youth Art Month celebrates visual arts for grades K-12 annually through various art activities in schools and communities.

The 2020-2021 theme is “Art Connects Us.” This "2021 Central Youth Art Month: K-12 Students Virtual Exhibition" led us to be connected regardless of our differences and individualities. This is a first step to build a bridge among us, the diverse schools and communities in Central California.

We would like to thank all the art educators and artists who participated in this exhibition. 9 school districts, 17 schools, 20 art educators, and 56 student artists in the central valley areas have been involved in this exhibition. The art educators' inspirational guidance and devoted support have made our brilliant students artists' creativity bloom and flourish.

This exhibition couldn't be possible without the support from CAEA and Fresno State. We are very grateful for their encouragement and contribution for our future generations of artists and art educators.

Let's celebrate our amazing students' talents and successful accomplishments together! Art connects us, and art defines who we are as a community!

Greetings, and congratulations on the 2021 Central YAM exhibition!

Both educators and students have had to grow and learn in new ways this year. I want to extend my deep appreciation to all of you, on behalf of the CAEA State Council, for your dedication to your students during this challenging time.

Brighter days are ahead, and I, like all of you, look forward to celebrating students' artistic achievements in person, in the near future!
